This is a guide to installing Oscommerce and making cosmetic and functional changes to Oscommerce, the open source e-commerce solution. This guide assumes that you know basic html and how it works. If you don’t, get a good html reference book so you can learn it!

Although we have tried to be very inclusive, this is by no means an exhaustive resource, and is meant to be used as a starting point. Please note that Oscommerce is under active development, and the code changes on a daily basis. With that being said, this guide should be useful in pointing you to the correct files, and the correct areas within those files to modify.
